Agriculture is concerned with cultivation, processing and marketing of crops and livestock. Most of the specialization in agriculture have a strong focus on the innovative use of technologies for higher productivity and optimal use of natural resources.

India is one of the leading agriculture country in the world. Agricultural sector contributes 29.4% of GDP and employs about 64% of the work force. The primary aim of agriculture is to make the land more productive and at the same time to protect it from deterioration and misuse. The diverse branch of agriculture sciences includes Agronomy, Horticulture, Economic Entomology, Animal Husbandry, Soil chemistry and Agricultural Economics. After the completion of four year degree course, there are tremendous opportunities in government as well as private sector.


Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent exam with Maths/ Biology/ Agriculture/ Forestry group with minimum 50% marks.
