General Instructions for Students

It is desirable that students must have 100% attendance in class to become a good professional. However, students with attendance less than 75% will be debarred to appear in the session and semester examinations as per University norms.

Students should keep their mobile-off while attending classes. Otherwise shall be strictly dealt with.

Students must update any change in their permanent home address Tele No in their personal files maintained with the Institute Office, so that all relevant information can be communicated to their parents by fastest mode.

Toppers (one girl and one boy) of each class will be selected as Class Representatives. He/ She will bring to notice of the Principal/ and coordinator any problem faced by students related to academic and to the Dean Administration regarding administrative problems.

Rules, Regulations & Code Of Conduct

RAGGING IS STRICTLY BANNED: Any student found indulging in committing or abetting in ragging shall be punished/ rusticated/ expelled/ suspended from the institute.

WHAT CONSTITUTES RAGGING?

Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing , treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.

Indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in the mind of any student.

Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.

Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher.

Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.

Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students.

Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures causing body harm or any other danger to health of person.

Any act or abuse by spoken words, emails, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from actively or passively participating in the discomfiture to a fresher or any other student.

Any act that affects the mental health and self confidence of a fresher or any other student with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student.

To control ragging and other disciplinary problems, the following committees have been formed. In case of ragging students should immediately approach these committees on given telephone/mobile numbers.


Important Notice For Parents/ Guardian

Parents /guardians required to submit an undertaking as applicable for Day Scholar at the time of admission.

Parents must respond to the letter sent to them from the institute.

Strict security rules have been enforced for general security of the students in the campus. Parents are requested to advise their wards to follow normal safety rules and adhere to the instruction issued by the institute from time in this regard. The institute has made adequate security arrangements for the safety of the students but cannot be held responsible for any mishap that arises out of reasons beyond its control.

Parents must keep a watch on the attendance, academic performance and general behavior of their wards.


STUDENT CARE CELL

A Student Care Cell has been formed in SGRRITS with a view to counsel student and bring out improvement in them. The cell will be helping students in overcoming their problems , worries related to studies or other matter which generally leads to depression, over stressing and psychological fatigue. The Care Cell also directs students for expert counseling and treatment where ever required. Composition of Student Care Cell will be as under:

1. Head: Principal/Head of the wing.
2. One male and one lady faculty to be nominated by the Principal/HOD.

MISCELLANEOUS

Valuables

No student shall be in possession of any valuables or heavy cash amount while in institute campus. Any student possessing such valuables would do so at his/her own risk and responsibility.

Driving Motorized Vehicles

All students riding/driving two wheelers/ four wheelers shall be in possession of valid driving license issued by RTO. No students will be allowed to enter the premises without Helmet while driving two wheelers.

Hostlers are not allowed to keep two/four wheelers in the hostel.

Students are not allowed to bring four wheelers in the institute.

Possession of crash helmet and a driving license is in the personal interest of the students to safeguard against serious injuries in case of any accident.


Parking

All students shall ensure that they park their two wheelers in a proper, systematic and orderly manner. Parking shall be done only at specified parking area of the Institute.


Visitors

Generally, no visitors /parents/relatives of students should visit SGRRITS to meet the students when the classes are in progress.


Pride And Sence Of Belongs

All students shall look upon themselves with pride and sense of belonging to the SGRRITS family with good conduct, discipline and shall maintain the decorum of the Institute thus making themselves a good member of the team, society and valuable citizens of the country.
