Over the past few decades pharmaceutical sciences has made tremendous progress and has undergone radical development emerging as a separate discipline with a unique blend of medicine and technology.

The future of Pharmaceutical Industry in India seems to be bright. In the present scenario of globalization, WTO, GATT & IPR issue it will continue to discover, develop and market life saving medicines thereby improving quality of life. With the entry of large Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies the scenario has changed leading to increased demand of Pharmacy Graduates (B.Pharm) and Post Graduates (M.Pharm).

Dept. of Pharmaceutical Science, was established in the year 1997 with the primary aim of imparting quality education & practical skills to young professionals, conclusively contributing effectively to the field of pharmacy education. We are the front runners in the field with the sole aim of striving towards a healthy & prosperous society.

Our Achievements

  • Quarterly Newsletter on the trends of Pharmacy Practices "Clinical Pharmacy Communique" published & circulated at free of cost.
  • Seven research papers presented by M.Pharm (Pharmacology) students at international conference held at Chitkara University, Rajpura, Chandigarh on 15-16th March 2013.
  • Faculty representation at WHO sponsored workshops on Rational use of drugs in community, at institution of health management & research at Jaipur between 25th Feb-5th March 2013.
  • Faculty and students attended 7th Asian Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology held in Bangalore between 26-28 Oct. 12.
  • Four research papers presented by M.Pharm Clinical Pharmacy students at the recently concluded Indian Pharmaceutical Congress at Chennai (7-9 Dec. 2012).
  • Last years have witnessed over 150 research publications/ presentation by the department.
  • UTU convocation-2011 witnessed our students bagging the Gold Medals in Undergraduate and Post graduate levels. (Aparna & Parminder Ratan)
  • Keeping with our motto of overall student development, the best power point presentation came to our kitty during the state level competition. It was awarded to Khushboo Mittal (M.Pharm- Pharmacology).
  • Bagged the 1st position at the state level-Elocution contest held by IPA state branch in November 2011. Neha (M.Pharm-Pharmacology) got to represent the state at the National Elocution contest in December 2011.
  • Academia - industry interaction in February 2013 with leading pharma companies of the region...KUDOS.....
