The SGRRITS library is kind of educational library. The main objective of SGRRITS library is to cater the need of the students and the teachers of the Institute. Library has a very vast collection of books, bound volumes of periodicals, e-journals and company level database from CMIE.

SGRRITS library has open access system. Readers can take out any book from the shelves and consult freely within the library premises. The Library of SGRRITS has six rooms. Total numbers of racks and almirahs are 91.

SGRRITS library is now under computerization and all the work is being done via computer and manuall both. The library remains open at working days starting from 9:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.. All books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme and placed on shelves accordingly and catalogued according to AACRZ. Three bar codes were stacked on each book and all the bar codes were also covered with the tape.

LIBSYS software is being used to automate the library of SGRRITS. LIBSYS software was developed by Infotech consultants of Delhi. It is a menu based package. LIBSYS is integrated library management software. It has a powerful and user friendly Web-OPAC along with a window based OPAC. It provides the facility for developing bibliographies on specific subjects.

The students can search the bibliographic database and find specific information Online. Many catalogs are available Online like-search by author, title, publisher, subject etc.

Reference service is an important service of every library. It is related to personal help of the users. Our library has been providing reference service to the users regularly by providing their required documents to them.
